Women Who Consider Themselves Late Bloomers!

Are you a late bloomer with regards to education, career, marriage, children or in any area that makes you want to catch up?

Are you a late bloomer? As a therapist, many of the women seen in my practice feel like late bloomers. They feel the need to catch up to where they believe they should be in life.

Women who have been traumatized by violence, abuse or neglect, abandonment or other events share feelings of being behind others. Often, when traumatizing events happen our lives go on. However, trauma stunts not only our emotional growth but developmental growth also. Therefore, we may be 35 years of age but emotionally feel similar to a teenager.

The good news is that we are able to move forward. Trauma does not have to control your life forever.
