• Franklin County schools put in 'secure mode' due to terrorist threat, sheriff's office says (firstalert4.com) — Schools across Franklin County, including those near Eureka, spent much of Wednesday in secure mode after a Facebook post threatened a school shooting. Investigators traced a person of interest whose vehicle was captured on a Flock camera in Eureka, and the suspect was later stopped in Sullivan and taken into custody. Authorities say there is no ongoing threat following the arrest.
