Manchester United Methodist Church, at 141 and Manchester, has a wonderful Bikie Rehab Ministry which rehabs bicycles and donates them to people in needy communities. In the past 12 years, MUMC has fixed and polished over 3600 bikes for kids and adults. These bikes don't just benefit the individual. They help whole communities by getting kids and parents together in a wonderful social activity, providing exercise and breathing new life into tired areas of our city!
MUMC is in dire need of bike donations. Their stock is low for used bikes. They need bikes in any condition. Those in really bad shape can always be used for parts!
Do you have an old bike in need of a home? Contact Jim Vail at jandlvail@sbcglobal.net or call 636-207-1281 for info on donating!
