DECA Students Win Big On International Front
Eureka High's DECA students qualified for, and competed in, international competition.
DECA is a student vocational organization associated with the Business Internship/CCE Class at Eureka High School. Each year, the culminating activity for CCE is a DECA Competition. This is an opportunity to compete against other students in a variety of marketing-related categories. The competition consists of role playing and written exams.
In February, 16 Business Internship/CCE students from decided to attend the District DECA Competition in St. Louis. Of those 16 students, six won in their individual marketing categories and were advanced to the State DECA Competition, which is held at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake of the Ozarks. These students were Andrea Signaigo, Morgan Smith, Chris Fulton, Danny Gaasch, Brittany Garner and Bethany Garner.
At the State DECA Competition, three students—Andrea Signaigo, Morgan Smith and Chris Fulton—won in their individual categories and qualified for the International DECA Competition which was held in Orlando, FL. Andrea Signaigo and Morgan Smith traveled to Orlando from April 29 - May 4, and participated in the international competition.
