Recently the old cable line along the road in Eureka was removed. Next, I guess will be the pulling up the old poles, so it appears the last thing will be to hook up the telephone feeders to the new line and the utility work will be over on the road.
Everything is very time-consuming on this construction project.
Work goes on as the building of the wall continues. A truck loaded with larger ground rock just went past, so while more fine rock is used to back up the wall itself, this larger stone is being used for the base of the new sidewalk and road.

The new water main has been connected to supply the water tank next to , so it appears the work is progressing on some sort of a schedule as the highly technical aspects of the construction seem almost complete. This included a wide variety of specialized trucks and skilled manpower to watch.
On another note: A new shortage was voiced on the evening news last night. Since I stopped baling hay, the big shortage is now hay for the cows, horses and other critters in Missouri. Sorry I caused a delimma.
