Fun summer nights at the Endangered Wolf Center
The Endangered Wolf Center has filled its schedule of summer evening events with brand new Wolf Howls, some for adults and others for families. Brats or ice cream, anyone?

The Endangered Wolf Center has added a number of new, fun evening activities to its summer calendar.
The Center’s Campfire Wolf Howls will take a summer break -- who sits around a campfire in St. Louis summer heat? In place of the campfires, the Center will be offering many new evening events for families and adults alike.
In the summertime lineup are Ice Cream Howls, Beer & Brat Howls, Family Cookout Howls, S'mores Howls and more.

As always at the evening howls, visitors will get a chance to hear the wolves howl and to show off their own very best howl. (Because wolves are wild creatures, there's no guarantee that they'll howl – but they usually do.)
The Endangered Wolf Center’s summer schedule begins the evening of June 19, after two months of being closed for puppy season. (No pups yet, but the Center remains hopeful.)

On tap that first night is a grand reopening Wine & Cheese Wolf Howl, with acoustic guitar music by Matt Garvey, wines served by the White Mule Winery in Owensville, Mo., and an assortment of cheeses and meat. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the special events outlined below, during the summer the Center will be offering its regularly scheduled daytime Preda-Tours, where visitors can see all five species of canids that live there – Mexican gray wolves, red wolves, maned wolves, African painted dogs and swift foxes. Preda-Tours take place at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 1 p.m. on Sundays. Private daytime tours can be arranged Wednesdays through Sundays.
Reservations are required for tours and events, and can be made by calling 636-938-5900. The Endangered Wolf Center is a non-profit that receives no government funding. It is supported solely by money raised from tours and events, memberships and donations.
