Tons of Spring Events & Programs in Eureka
Eureka Parks and Recreation has a ton of upcoming programs and events including Middle School Dances, Town Hall Meeting, Senior Bus Trip and much more!

Even as Eureka has seen unseasonably late snow and chilly temperatures, the Parks and Recreation Department has a full schedule of events and programs ready in April and May! There is truly something for everyone - from ACT Prep Classes to a Senior Bus Trip to the first Yappy Hour Dog Event of the year. To the right is the full Press Release for April and May. We've highlighted several programs below:
Middle School Egg Hunt and Dance
Middle Schoolers will enjoy the great dances they love and get an added bonus: Egg Hunt! Dinner, snacks and drinks are included. All participants must be signed in and out by an adult and parent volunteers are always welcome. Walk-up registration at the event is based on space availability. All participants must have a registration form completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Friday, April 5th - 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Eureka Community Center - Fee: $10.00 (at door) or $8.00 (pre-paid)
Eureka Town Hall Meeting
Dinner will be served, followed by a presentation from Mayor Coffey including an update on Eureka’s water softening efforts and a progress update on Eureka’s new Recreation Center. The meeting will also include a public forum regarding the City’s Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) application which will soon be submitted to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Based on the City’s 2010 Census population, State regulations dictate that additional storm water regulations must be implemented. The City's Engineer will present an overview of the regulations and answer any questions.

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competition
Participants, ages 7 - 14 (as of July 17, 2013) will compete in pitching, hitting and running. Scores are based on speed, accuracy and control. No metal spikes allowed. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held Tuesday, April 23th.
Thursday, April 18th - 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. - Legion Park Field #7 - FREE
Senior Bus Trip to Clydesdale Breeding Farm
Take a tour of the Clydesdales Breeding Farm at Warm Springs Ranch near Columbia, MO. Fee includes transportation, lunch and gratuities. Please bring extra money for souvenirs and treats. The bus leaves from the Eureka Community Center.
Thursday, April 25th - 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Fee: $77.00

Flat Creek Trail Grand Opening
Come out and join the City of Eureka in celebrating the official opening of Flat Creek Trail. Made possible through the generosity of Great Rivers Greenway, the trail runs from Legion Park to Route 66 State Park and ties into the Meramec Greenway trail system.
