[Note: This is taken from a letter to a nephew who lives in Austin, TX. He is a doctor there, and we write once in a while. I spent some time with him after Christmas, about 22 months ago, and we had a family get-together, then a tour of the city.]
Today I will watch the Champion Redbirds have a victory parade in St. Louis after the interesting World Series. Yesterday I watched Mizzou come back against Texas A & M, and saw USC lose in many overtimes to Stanford.
Earlier I had written in Facebook that Texas had a bad week. Then, today on Fox News, Mr. Wallace broadcast from the Texas Museum in Austin, making me feel right at home because you took me there almost two years ago, and it was good to see the place again.

Now I am told to come to California for Christmas, so I hope to do that. Carole and I visited Columbia last week, and I wrote a blog about Missouri, which should be approved soon. We visited your folks there and had lunch at the University Club and a great tour of the city. Dr. Orth took our picture, which is included, which I included in a coming blog. Bill Becker stopped by when he visited Eureka for a class reunion at EHS () and now is sending me a free Southwest ticket, which I may use to visit San Antonio again. So things are looking good.
Oh, and the road improvement out front is progressing, although I lost communications for three days when they tore up my underground service when removing the old paving. I am back online with a temporary overhead line. And since my campaign was ruined by chemo last year, I have modified my site to be ready to file for the U.S. Congress when the time comes next year, if I am fit.

Now I have watched the parade and celebration at the ball park after watching the Rams win their first game. Finally the football players began to police one another after they got stupid penalties so they might be healing themselves.
I really thought the celebration of the World Series victory was great, with good coverage on TV and great remarks by the champs.
As I write this, Tony LaRussa just retired, probably at the right time. Have a Happy Halloween, Uncle Boots
"What a Week" seems a correct title.
