Eureka 'Goes to Dogs' for Mardi Growl

PHOTO GALLERY: Dog owners love to go places with their dogs, and Sunday's festivities attracted several hundred registrants and people.

A total of 241 registrants competed in the second annual Mardi Growl dog parade held Sunday in Eureka. The youngest puppy this editor could find there was 10 weeks old. If anyone knows of a younger puppy who attended, please remark in the comments section. With so many great dog shots, it was difficult to select one to feature here in the Patch online template. Please click through them all, and add your own shots.

To see one of the most interesting "presentations" of a contestant for the parade, click here for a Patch article published Sunday evening. A Patch reader since loaded a photo of "BatDog," who also attended the event.

For a look at the contest's winners, judges and Mayor Kevin Coffey and his dog, click here for a Patch article published this morning.
