Eureka Hockey Player is Bama Standout
Look who is Rookie of the Year. The University of Alabama hockey player was selected for the SEC All-Star team and may be heading to Europe this summer.

Since graduating from in 2011, Clay Link has become an integral part of the hockey program at the University of Alabama.
In addition to qualifying for hockey Nationals, the team won the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship for the first time in its history. Link’s performance earned him a place on the roster for the All-Star game at Nationals, and he was selected as a member of the SEC All-Star team, giving him the opportunity to try-out for a team that will represent the league in Europe this summer, according to a announcement.
At the end of the season, Link received the Rookie of the Year Award and was selected to serve as Co-President of the Club for the upcoming season.

Eureka High teacher Matt Strickland described Link as a hard-working, intelligent young man, in the announcement. “Clay has a great personality, and he is very easy to relate with,” said Strickland. “We are all proud of him and his accomplishments.”
At Eureka, Link was the class valedictorian, and was involved in the club hockey program as well as Student Council and National Honor Society.
