Eureka Softball Team Takes On Parkway Central

After girls' varsity softball team's 0-1 loss to Washington High Thursday evening, it was nice to see the Wildcats come back to beat the Parkway Central team 12-2 on Friday night.

One note of Friday's game was a disagreement among the coaches, initiated by a Parkway Central coach from his own dugout with verbal sparring directed at Eureka's Coach Jim Daffron while he was coaching first base. The gist of the comments were about stealing bases.

The home plate umpire eventually asked Eureka to switch coaches at first base and for the Parkway coach to cease comments from the dugout.
