On June 11th and 12th the Saint Louis Radio Control Flying Association will be hosting the 2011 Gateway Fly In. This event will feature giant-scale IMAA aircraft flown at our spectacular flying site in Eureka, Missouri.
The public will be able to see large model aircraft of all types including Turbine Jets that look and sound like the real thing as well as beautiful scale aircraft of WWI, WWII, Civilian aircraft. There will also be spectacular 3D flying demonstrations that will display the hover, torque roll and other three dimensional aerobatic capability of todays model aircraft. The whole family is sure to enjoy watching these marvelous machines flying in the sky. Full scale flybys are planned for Saturday which promise to be a crowd pleaser. Kids and adults will have the oportunity to have thier photo taken in a real F-4 Fantom Fighter Jet Cockpit! There will be delicious BBQ provided by the Bonhomme Lion's Club. Saturday evening there will most likely be quite a few iluminated electrics flying in the dark night sky. For only $5 per car this is a great low-cost event for the family. So gather the family and plan to attend the 2011 Gatway Fly In Model Aviation Air Show!
