Patch Pet Party at Halloween

There's a special place for your pets to trick-or-treat, too. Join Wildwood residents and their pets for first-ever Pet Halloween party at Town Center Plaza on Oct. 31. Dogs, cats and pocket pets welcome.

Event starts at 5:30 p.m. Pet parade and contest will begin at 6 p.m. Judges will award trophies and prizes for top five spots in two categories:  best pet costume and pet/owner look-a-like contest.

Pets should have current vaccinations, and be on leashes or in carriers.

Giveaways, candy and refreshments (free kettle corn, chips and beverages) will be provided after the parade. There also will pet-related experts and business representatives on-hand to discuss pet tips. The event will conclude at 7 p.m. to allow participants to trick-or-treat in their personal neighborhoods, if they desire.

Sign up that evening for a new pet first aid class to be provided by the Metro West Fire Protection District.

Get your photo taken with your dressed-up pet at the Patch Pet Booth.

Costume characters, such as Smokey the Bear, will be available for personal photos.

Event will be held in all but dangerous weather, such as a storm or lightning.

This event is hosted by the city of Wildwood with the following partners: Eureka-Wildwood Patch, St. Louis Community College-Wildwood, St. Louis County Police Department-Wildwood Precinct and Metro West Fire Protection District.
