Farm Fresh Produce And Meats Offered

You don't have to go far to find farm fresh produce and meats for your family this summer. It's available each Saturday at the Wildwood Farmers' Market.

Three produce vendors were busy selling their goods at the Wildwood Farmers' Market this past weekend. The market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. throughout the summer in the Wildwood Town Center.

Clancy's Market Place located in Rosebud, MO, offered, tomatoes, herbs, bedding plants and a large variety of hanging baskets. Matt's homegrown tomatoes were being sampled and snapped up quickly by market shoppers. Wildwood resident Sally Poehling said, "I'm really excited about the variety of herbs Clancy's has. I'm going home to create organic herb pots with the all the basil I bought. Next week I'm coming back to pick up a hanging basket because he ran out of them, and they were really pretty."

Miller's Organics located in Wildwood, had organic lettuce greens, squash, arugula, pumpkins, peppers and fresh cut flowers. Owner James Miller said to be sure to come to stop by his booth on June 4. "We will have black seeded simpson head lettuce, mesclun salad blends, bibb head lettuce, romaine head lettuce, radishes, and more beautiful cut flower bouquets."

Husband and wife team, Eric and Kathy Lober, were sharing with customers why they should get to know their farmer to trust from where their food is coming from.

As the market ended around 1:30 p.m., all three of these vendors had sold most of their products.
