Full Missouri Accreditation Secured by Rockwood School District
This is the 11th consecutive year for Eureka-based Rockwood School District to achieve full accreditation, as measured by 14 different standards.

maintained full accreditation by state officials, according to Annual Performance Report (APR) data released this week by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The data indicates that Rockwood met allΒ 14 accreditation standards for academic performance in 2011-2012.Β
Missouri recently received a Flexibility Waiver from federal No-Child-Left-Behind (NCLB) guidelines allowing the state to continue focusing on its own accountability system described by the Missouri School Improvement Program (MSIP). Missouriβs Annual Performance Report provides a comprehensive overview of student performance by evaluating a variety of measures including the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP), ACT, Advanced Placement (AP) tests, and graduation and attendance rates among others.
Rockwood School Superintendent Bruce Borchers said he isΒ pleased with the district's performance on the annual performance report. "Student achievement is the focus of everything we do in Rockwood,β said Borchers in a Rockwood statement. βOur mission statement of 'doing whatever it takes' reflects our commitment to be better at what we do so students will succeed.β
To be fully accredited, a K-12 school district must meet at least nine of the fourteen accreditation standards for academic performance. Data for each school district can be viewed on DESE's website.Β Β
