Get outdoors with your kids at the Endangered Wolf Center

Children and parents alike are welcome at Fall Wolf Camp and Messy Play Day this weekend at the Center in Eureka. See the animals too!

The Endangered Wolf Center has two great ways for kids and parents to get outdoors and play together this weekend.

For years, parents of children attending our Wolf Camps have told us they wish we had camps for them too. This Saturdayand next Saturday, we do. For the first time, parents are welcome to join their kids at Fall Wolf Camp!

And this Sunday, our Messy Play Day invites children from toddlers through age 5 to get down in the dirt (and sand and water and paint) and get really messy.

For children ranging from the newly walking to age 5. Activities will include sand exploration, mud and dirt fun, water play, watercolors, face painting and more. Kids and parents will learn how to make homemade nature crafts.

The cost for Messy Play Day is $8 per child. Parents are free.

Messy Play Day will start at 9 a.m. Sunday and last until 1 p.m. Participants don’t have to arrive at the start or stay until it closes. Whatever length of time suits a child’s needs is perfect!

Special mini-tours of the Endangered Wolf Center animal enclosures will be available for an additional $10 per person that day only. There is no charge for a mini-tour for children enrolled in Messy Play.

Parents can call 636-938-5900 to reserve a spot for Messy Play Day. Walk-ups will be accepted based on availability.

Parents should dress their kids in clothes that can get filthy dirty.

Fall Wolf Camp

Kids and parents can help celebrate Wolf Awareness Week at these one-day camps. Fall Wolf Camps are for children ages 6 to 15, plus their parents. The cost is $50 for the first person and $45 for each additional child or parent.

We will play games, take a fun hike and, of course, see our animals.

Call 636-938-5900 to make your reservation or download the registration and parental consent forms at http://www.endangeredwolfcenter.org/take-a-tour/camps/# and send them to P.O. Box 760, Eureka, MO 63025, or email them to Ashley Rearden (arearden@endangeredwolfcenter.org) or Karen Nichols (knichols@endangeredwolfcenter.org). Camps fill up quickly and we are unable to hold a spot for your camper until payment has been received.
