Grass is Greener at LifePointe Church
Well, the lawn is mowed differently at a certain spot dedicated to an outdoor sign of faith. Take a close look.
Clinton Lewis noticed the large hillside in front of his church in Wildwood a little more than a year ago.
"It looked like a big billboard," he said.Β
Lewis mows LifePointe Church's lawn, and brush hogs the property, so he got the idea to mow in a cross on that hillside. A couple of men helped him mark it out, and then it became reality.

Senior Pastor Rick Biesiadecki said the cross is meant to remind people of spiritual things and draw their attention to the church, along Missouri Route 109.
The cross is visible from Bing's electronic search engine satellite images, and even when it snowed the cross pattern showed up, Biesiadecki said.

"I wasn't crazy about it at firstβyou don't want to be cheesy," he said. "But, you know, it looks really good."
Lewis said he's been going to the church for eight or nine years. To him, putting in the design seemed like the right thing to do.
In April, LifePointe changed names from Rockwood Baptist Church, the name since it began in 1987, its website stated.
The pastor said the church has Baptist roots, but is decidedly evangelical.
"We want to be known as the place where people come to get closer to God, if the cross on the hill does that...I'm good with that," he said.
