Before I just started blogging my little heart out on here, I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Angelic and I live in LaBarque Creek, which is just a few miles outside of Eureka. My husband and I just opened a little indie bookstore in Eureka at the Wallach House last year - a lifelong desire of mine. My house was busting at the seems with books, I consider the store just an extension, an annex if you will. I have two daughters, two step-kids, six grandchildren (and a seventh on the way) two cats, and three chickens. Oh, and I love to read. Correction, I love anything to do with books; the way they look, feel, smell, and how they come to be. I love to organize them and buy them and sell them. You get the idea. They're my hobby and my passion. And I have come to believe there are others like me out there - to some degree anyhow. That I'm not alone in my hobby of solitude. There are others out there, right? Before there were viral videos of women tripping into water fountains while texting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGpVpsaItpU, there were people bumping into things while reading a book. I haven't been able to find any video documentation on youtube, but we all know it has happened, right? I will keep searching... In the meantime, tell me about YOUR reading habits. Do you read in bed? (I do sometimes.) In the overstuffed chair in the corner? With your legs flung over the side? Or up on the ottoman you share with the cat? My cat is never satisfied with sharing the ottoman - she insists on sitting right in front of the book.
