Lawyer Hired to Address Special Wildwood Hearing
An attorney from Armstrong Teasdale will lead an investigational public hearing Wednesday evening regarding whether one city council member violated Missouri's Sunshine Law and the City Charter.

Armstrong Teasdale attorney Jeff McPherson will lead city staffers and council members through a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Wildwood's city council chambers, prompted by a complaint that a , Ward 2, violated Wildwood's City Charter and Missouri's Sunshine Law.
The e-mail came after a series of events that happened when city council candidate was unable to assume his term for Ward 1 after moving out of state for employment reasons post-election.
The hearing will investigate all aspects of the matter, said McPherson, who was to provide legal advice and to guide the hearing's format.

Wildwood city council members invited written comments from the public concerning these alleged violations. Comments were due by 5 p.m. on July 14. Wildwood deputy city administrator Lynne Greene-Beldner confirmed that the only written documentation received was from the complaintant, Wildwood's special counsel hired to handle the matter, and counsel representation for Parks.
