She was the wife of the late Ty Turnbo and mother of Bain and Bailey Turnbo. She was the daughter of Gene and Nell Ponder, and daughter-in-law of Bill and Thelma Turnbo. She was the sister of Margaret (Tony) Childers and Barbara (Jim) Speights. She was the sister-in-law of Terri and Russ Boukaert.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the . A prayer service was held at the church Sunday evening.
