Metro West Fire Protection District Results for April 5

Mike Noonan, of Wildwood, says one of his top priorities will be to continue to be fiscally conservative with taxpayers' dollars.

Final for the evening of April 5, but unofficial, results for the board of directors indicate Michael Noonan was re-elected with 5,335 votes for a total of 72.30 percent of the tally. 

Candidate Denise Depelheuer received 2,003 votes, or 27.14 percent, of the total votes.

Write-in candidates accounted for 41 votes, or 0.56 percent.

Noonan said he is dedicated to helping people prevent emergencies through awareness and safety education. "I want to continue with the strong relationships with Wildwood, Ballwin, Ellisville and St. Louis County as partners in emergency services," he said.

He also said he believed it was important for the fire district to maintain its Triple A bond rating.

Noonan most recently handled the secretarial responsibilities of Metro West's board of directors. He first served the district in 2001 through 2003, filling a vacancy.  In March of 2010, he again was asked to serve Metro West citizens when a vacancy was created by the death of board chairman Bob Reboulet.

Noonan is a resident of Wildwood where he lives with his two children and wife.  He is a senior manager for St. Louis-based Express Scripts.
