One-Stop Shopping at Hallmark

Eureka-Wildwood Patch suggests visiting local Hallmark stores for Valentine's Day gifts and cards.

With only 10 more days to shop for Valentine’s Day gifts, Eureka-Wildwood Patch suggests a “one-stop shopping” experience.  The Eureka and Wildwood Hallmark stores have various gifts, cards, and gift wrap ideas to make Feb. 14 a special day for your loved ones.

Carey Hoerner, manager of the Wildwood Hallmark store, has many suggestions to help with the shopping decisions.  Hoerner said one of their most popular gifts for Valentine’s Day is the double-dipped, chocolate-covered strawberries.  Working with a local produce farmer, the Wildwood Hallmark store offers this special treat for $17.99 per box.  Orders can be placed by calling the store at 636-405-1055. The chocolate covered strawberries arrive in store on Feb. 13.

The store also sells chocolates from Hallmark Chocolatier and Bitterman.

Figurines from Willow Tree and Precious Moments are available in seasonal Valentine’s Day themes and are favorites with area collectors, Hoerner said.

The Eureka Hallmark store is selling the popular “Bug ‘Em” plush toy for $9.95.  The stuffed animal comes with a zippered pouch filled with cinnamon hearts.  There are many “Bug ‘Em”-themed items, such as the book “Bug ‘Em, the Big-Hearted Bug,” which sells for $7.95, a package of 34 “Bug ‘Em” stickers selling for $2 and matching “Bug ‘Em” greeting cards.

With a purchase of any three Hallmark greeting cards, two different plush animals with recorded messages can be purchased at a reduced price.  The white, cuddly “Hug Me Bear” sells for $14.95, and the light brown “Sweet Talkin’ Pup” sells for $9.95.

Sherry Benson, Eureka Hallmark store manager, said recordable books have been popular this season.  The store is featuring “Counting Kisses," a bedtime story book with the capacity for 10 family members to record a special “good night message” for a child.
