Shooting Death: Graduate of Eureka-Based Individualized Learning Center is Victim of Drive-By

Police are looking for four males to question about the shooting death of a May graduate of Rockwood School District's , an alternative high school program located in . Destinee Clemons, 17, was shot to death shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday evening as she sat with family members on a front porch of a home in the 6500 block of Plymouth Avenue in University City.

Eureka-Wildwood Patch readers got to know Clemons through an article this April, when she organized a thrift store as part of the first-ever observation of Earth Day at the high school:

"It's better to resell items instead of throwing them out," said the thoughtful ILC senior.

Police Chief Charles Adams said detectives believe they know the identity of one of four people who were in the car used in the drive-by shooting, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. No names were released.

Detectives confirmed a red 2012 Toyota, a rental vehicle, found by police early Friday was the car used in the shooting, according to the article.

Adams told the Post-Dispatch that police were unaware of any connection between the victim or her family members and the people being sought by police.
