Soccer Team Sweeps Super F National Futsal Champions
These West St. Louis County girls won all pool play games with an outstanding 27 goals and only four goals allowed.

A local, under 10, G-Golden Girls' soccer team, coached by Mike Elam, had more than a great season. After their recent championships in the Super F League Midwest Region Futsal tournament in January, they advanced to the Super F Champions Cup National Futsal Tournament held Feb. 18-20 in Shawnee, KS.
The Golden Girls, which consist of girls who are residents of Wildwood, won all pool play games with an outstanding 27 goals and only four goals allowed. Family members and fans reported their championship game versus BVSC Cosmos was thrilling, with a 13-5 win, and that crowned them Super F National Futsal champions.
Super F League, originally known as the Kansas City Futsal League, was founded in 1997 with five teams, according to the league's materials. In 2004, the league was renamed to Super F League. In addition to the league in Kansas City, Boston and St. Louis became part of the Super F League. These leagues are among the largest youth futsal leagues in the Unites States.
In 2005, the Super F League held its first National Futsal Tournament. It has been consistently the largest National Youth futsal tournament in the country. In 2009, the Cup was the largest youth futsal tournament in the country (U18 and younger). Super F League is the only national futsal organization that is affiliated with U.S. Soccer. All players are registered with U.S. Soccer through United States Specialty Sports Association. USSSA registers players in 12 sports.
