Suicide, Marijuana Arrest, Stealing Among Eureka Police Call Log

Eureka Police Department officers responded to the following developments between Aug. 4 and Aug. 11. One call was about child abuse.

Following are recent incidences handled by officers:

  • Police responded to a suicide at Nelson Circle Court on Aug. 4. The person's identity was not disclosed.
  • Five instances of stealing items worth less than $500 occurredβ€”at Six Flags Road on Aug. 4; at 131 Eureka Towne Center Drive, which is the , on Aug. 7; at Six Flags Road on Aug. 6; at Six Flags Road on Aug. 9; at 245 E. Fifth Street on Aug. 10; and at 120 City Hall Drive on Aug. 10.
  • Warrants for arrests were processed Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 at Eureka City Hall.
  • Police were called to the Walmart Supercenter for destruction of property on Aug. 5.
  • Police arrested someone for possession of marijuana at Fifth Street West and Six Flags Road on Aug. 5.
  • Police were notified about a peace disturbance at Commerce Bank on Aug. 6.
  • A drug violation was discovered at Hill Drive on Aug. 7.
  • Destruction of property located off of Grand View Ridge Court occurred Aug. 8.
  • A bad check was handled at 720 W. Fourth Street, which is , on Aug. 8.Β 
  • A case of occurred at on Aug. 8.
  • Someone violated a court order arrest at Hunters Green Lane on Aug. 8.
  • A person was arrested for buying alcohol for minors at 290 E. Fourth Street on Aug. 8.
  • A third-degree assault charge was handled Aug. 8.
  • Police were called to Six Flags Road for a case of child abuse on Aug. 11.
  • A second-degree assault charge was handled Aug. 11.
