Summer Speedo Swimmers Return Victorious

Rockwood Swim Club (RSCA) athletes competed July 20-23 in the 2011 CSRVIII Summer LC Speedo Championship Meet at the University of Missouri Aquatic Center in Columbia, MO. The team finished third overall.

Lauren Votava, of Des Peres, placed second in the 50 Free.

Nick Davis, of Chesterfield, also took second in the 800 and 1500 Free.

New junior cuts were for Davis in the 800 Free, and Garin Marlow, of Ballwin, in the 200 Backstroke.

RSCA girls took second in all three relays in which they competed. The 400 Free Relay team included Caroline Rodriquez, Jessica Holz, of Wildwood, Lauren Votava, of Des Peres, and Tennyson Henry, of St. Charles.

The girls' 800 Free Relay team was Lauren Votava, Jordan Stout, of Wildwood, Jessica Holz and Tennyson Henry.

The girls' 400 Medley Relay team consisted of Samanatha Wright, of Wildwood, Liza Poskin, of Chesterfield, Lauren Votava and Jordan Stout.

The boys' team score included six places in the 800 Free, five places in the 1500 Free and four places in the 400 Free.
