Wildwood Founders' Day is Saturday

A parade starts at 10 a.m., followed by a Vintage Car Show at Wildwood Town Center Plaza. See what else there will be to do Aug. 25. Know how "old" Wildwood is as a city?

As a municipality, moved past the "Sweet 16" milestone last year and will be observing the 17th year since its incorporation that occurred on Sept. 1, 1995.

This annual event used to be called Wildwood Days when it was held in . As of last year, it was called Wildwood Founders' Day Celebration. This year, it will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The parade involves the marching band, , 4-H horseback riders, Monarch Fire Protection District, Pond Athlethic Association representatives, , Boy Scouts, and a mounted color guard.

Kate O'Connell, Lafayette High varsity field hockey coach, will serve at the parade's marshal. 

The parade will start at New Community Church, located at 16801 Manchester Road, and proceed to Taylor Road. It will continue north to Main Street and then west to Fountain Place, ending at Wildwood Town Center Plaza.
