Wildwood's Back To School Party was all 'Fanfare'

When members of Fanfare band sang Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" to an eager crowd celebrating Back To School Party Friday evening, attendees seemed to keep believing in an enjoyable night.

Fanfare's Vincent Golomski and Kittie Moller have performed together for the past 36 years; they are married to each other. Guitarist Jim Huckelberry joined them 18 years ago, and drummer Lanny Boles came on board seven years ago.

Fanfare plays a variety of music, including rock, party and dance, soul/Motown, disco, rythm and blues, country, classics, jazz and even big band. Friday, they offered one of their CDs, "Fanfare Live In Concert," for sale for $10.

Golomski said the band played the Wildwood Back To School Party six or seven years ago, when it was held at the Old Pond Schoolhouse.

Fanfare also has appeared in St. Louis and the United States at many clubs, hotels, conventions, fairs, festivals, and concerts, including as well. They played before all of the St. Louis Rams home games at the Dome for six seasons. In addition, they performed at:

• a USO tour to Africa
• conventions for General Motors in Las Vegas, San Diego and the Mar-a-Lago Trump Mansion in Palm Beach, FL
• St. Louis Botanical Gardens
• Fair St. Louis
• St. Louis Art Fair
