Women's Apparel Store 'Cato' Opens in Eureka

Cato launched its newest store this week, with Thursday being the official grand opening. The new store is located in 179 Eureka Towne Center (often called the ). Its currently full of lively pink, blue, coral, fucshia and turquoise colored products. Shoppers will find plenty of black-and-white anchoring type of selections, too.

Cato is a leading specialty retailer of value-priced women’s fashion apparel, jewelry, shoes and accessories. The store features fashion styles in sizes 6 to 26 and girls’ sizes 7 to 16. Fresh, new styles are delivered to all Cato stores every week, said the store's new manager Cheryl Reed.

"We've had a great week already—above the expectation," said Reed, who quickly emphasized the store has something for everybody.

She said some of their most popular items are "girlfriend gifts," as they are called. Those items include earring trees, monogrammed travel mugs, scarves and jewelry.

The store's categories include girls, junior/misses and women's sizes. Clearance racks already are available. In addition to clothing and shoes, shoppers will find purses, belts, and undergarments.

"From tradition to contemporary styles, we have a wide variety that works for many, different customers," said Reed, who admits she shopped frequently at Cato before going to work for the company.

Reed is a resident of Dittmer, MO, and has been with Cato for more than a year, transferring from another Cato store located in Desoto, MO. She will assist customers in wardrobe selection and creating an easy shopping experience with color-coordinated visual presentations.

The first 1,000 customers at the new Cato store will receive a free pocket mirror. The first 250 customers to make a $35 or more purchase also get a complimentary Cato tote bag.

"With exclusive styles, on-trend fashions and low prices every day, our customers can always find their statement of style while enjoying their shopping experience at Cato."
