Photos and Sunflower Seeds Gathered on Tour of Olde Towne Fenton

  On a beautiful December day (Dec. 30 2011) I packed up my camera gear and headed out to Olde Towne Fenton. First I stopped off at Fenton Feed Mill on Water Street and bought a bag of black sunflower seeds.  After Danny Deihl loaded them into my jeep, I went on to Main Street and parked across the street from the Sisters Tea House, and the Old St. Paul’s Church.  

  Main Street is just a block north of Gravois Road overlooking the Meramec River.  There are a number of unique buildings there that have always caught my eye, from homes to vacant buildings, to businesses, to churches.  I know some of the history of a few of these buildings, and the rest I know very little to nothing about, so feel free to give us your input about their past or any personal stories you may have.  I’m sure that there is a wealth of information at the Fenton Historical Society about most of these buildings, and one day I plan to make it there and learn more about them.  But for now, I just want to give you a visual experience of this unique place.
