We All Scream for Snow Cream

We got enough snow to keep the kids off school for two days, but it's just no fun in the "playing in the snow" department. Yesterday's freezing rain topped the snow with an icy crust that is keeping the kids from making snowmen. I'm hoping it's better for sled riding, but that's another tale.

But we can still turn this winter wonder into snow cream.

The recipe for ice cream snow is pretty simple. Just mix fresh, clean snow with milk, sugar and vanilla. You'll have to discard the ice layer--its not going to blend with the other ingredients.
