Fredbird, Mad Hungarian Motivate Bowles students

To build excitement for the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) testing, students at , in Fenton, received a visit from Fredbird and former Cardinals pitcher Al Hrabosky, known as the Mad Hungarian in his basball heyday, on Monday. 

As teacher Andrea Darmon described, the event was designed to motivate students to do their best in school and make good choices.  “Each year we have a theme for MAP testing,” said Darmon.  “This year our theme is to ‘Hit the MAP Test Out of the Park.’  Dressed in Cardinals spirit wear, the students met Fredbird and listened to Hrabosky talk about doing their best in school.” 

Students in grades 3-5 will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they know on the MAP test through April 20
