Grace Was in Charge at Our Savior Lutheran School

Third-grader Grace Riebold was Principal for a Day, carrying out the regular duties of the position, including denying a raise to a teacher.

Grace Riebold, a third-grader at Our Savior Lutheran School in Fenton, learned what it is like to be β€œPrincipal For A Day” last week. Grace, who β€œwon” the distinction in a previously held fundraising event, spent much of her school day shadowing the real principal, Blair Bueckman, in performing many of her daily responsibilities.Β

Grace, 8, is the daughter of Dennis and Shari Riebold, of High Ridge.

Sporting her official β€œPrincipal Miss Riebold” name tag, Grace's new role carried some clout in her third-grade classroom as well. One classmate was overheard saying, β€œI usually tease Grace (all in fun, of course), but I’m not going to today!” Also, one of the boys in the class was quite proud of himself when he realized he was taller than the principal.
