Jefferson County Growth Group To Host Business Showcase Saturday
Event touts benefits of living, working and shopping in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Growth and Development Association will host its third annual Business Showcase from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Windsor High School, 6208 Highway 61-67.
JCGDA Executive Director Sarah Davis said the event will feature local businesses and service providers displaying some of the benefits of living, working and shopping in Jefferson County.
βWhat we try to do is showcase businesses in Jefferson County,β Davis said. βIt goes with our mission that Jefferson County is the best place to work, shop and live. It really is just showing people what we have here in Jefferson County.β

Some of the participating businesses include Surdyke Harley Davidson, Butler Chevrolet, Reuther Ford, First State Community Bank, Electro Savings Credit Union, Govero Land Services, Kevinβs Car Care, Ladies Fit 4 Life, Rock Township Ambulance, Metro Imaging and Pampered Chef.
Davis said the event will include a motorcycle simulator, health screenings by Jefferson Regional Medical Center and bike helmet fittings by North Jefferson County Ambulance District.

Davis said there will also be representatives from the insurance, construction and IT industries, as well as food, a golf putting contest and activities for children.
βThere are some good things here,β Davis said. βYou can come in and get to play a little and get some information.β
Jefferson County Executive Ken Waller plugged the showcase during Thursday's county council meeting.
βI think itβs good for people to be able to come and see the businesses and services that are provided in the county that people might not know about,β Waller said.
