The Jefferson County Pachyderm Club will have their August meeting on Wednesday, the 14th at 7:00 p.m. at Madabella's Restaurant, #30 Walter Place, House Springs, MO.
Our guest speakers will be Anne Gassel and Gretchen Logue of MOAgainstCommonCore.com. Please visit their site, it is very interesting and it will help inform you as to the content of the meeting.
Common Core is invading our State's schools thanks to Governor Nixon. It will be a step in the direction of "dummying down" our children. No longer will your children be encouraged to exceed and try hard. School Adminitrators, teachers and counselors will instead produce material that will reduce the levels at which our children will learn. I know, I have already heard this last year at a meeting at Northwest High School. The teachers were all in favor of it.
The Pachyderm meeting will help explain how grievous this is to our children and to our families.
