Loren Howard Acts, Sings, Dances Through High School

Name: Loren Howard, 16

School: Lindbergh High School

Family: Loren is the daughter of David and Carol Howard. she has a sister Monica, and a brother, Dan.

Accomplishments: Loren was elected as one of four students statewide to the board of the Missouri State Thespians.

Key to Awesomeness: An avid performer, Loren says "I love to act and sing and dance." She has some experience in all three areas. She was a chorus member in a recent Lindbergh student production of the Wizard of Oz, a videographer for The Importance of Being Earnest, a stepsister in Into the Woods (an adaptation of the Cinderella story), an obnoxious doctor in Check Please and a sister in Christmas Belles. Loren also plays the viola in the Lindbergh symphony orchestra.

Loren was elected to the Missouri State Thespians on the basis of a written essay, a written speech and an interview.  She will travel to Lincoln, NE for an international festival in June and a leadership conference in September.

Although still two years away, Loren hopes to attend a college with a solid fine arts program where she can pursue her singing and dancing passions. And the future? "My fantasy is to become a famous singer of actress, but realistically, I hope to be a high school drama teacher, which is pretty good."
