I’ve been noticing that clothes pin wreaths are pretty big on Pinterest, but I just haven’t had time to chase down the wire wreath form from the craft store. Then I remember the notorious death-by-drowning-frisbee we picked up from the Boat Show last year. It was a freebie from the Army Corps of Engineers--what a great way to remind kids to use their lifejackets. Right? Right? Needless to say, no one has played with this morbid toy, so I put it to a better use.

You can make one too if you have an old ring style frisbee that hasn’t been lost in a tree yet.

All you have to do is cover the frisbee (I used felt) and then decorate 50 or so wooden clothes pins. Since I was doing this project with my 6 year old, we tried out markers, crayons and covering the pins with paper.

The clothes pin wreath is pretty versatile too. You can decorate the flip side in a different color scheme for the next holiday! We're going to add more green and red pins to this wreath so it can become a Christmas decoration after Thanksgiving.
