Update: Man Found Dead in Jefferson County Jail

Inmate was unresponsive early Monday morning; corrections try to revive the man, but EMS pronounced him dead.

A 24-year-old white man was found dead this morning at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Jail in Hillsboro.

Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer reported in a news release that corrections officers were advised by other inmates at about 3 a.m. Monday that a man,  housed with them, subsequently identified as Bradley Kingery, of St. Louis, was unresponsive. The corrections officers administered life savings treatment and called for emergency medical services. Upon arrival of EMS personnel, the inmate was pronounced dead.

The death currently is being investigated.

The inmate's personal information was not being released until his next of kin is notified.
