Northwest School District Welcomes Three New Administrators
A reception was held prior to school board meeting Thursday.
Northwest School District board members welcomedΒ three new administrators at a reception prior to Thursdayβs board meeting.
Tracy Edwards is the district's new executiveΒ director of elementary education. Edwards comes from the Rockwood School District where she was responsible for assessments, gifted programs, remedial reading, Title I programs and overall K-5 programming.
Edwards said joining Northwest was a great opportunity.

βIβm looking forward to working with the elementary schools,
and Iβm excited to support the principals, teachers and elementary students,β Edwards said.
Terry Russell, who joined Northwest as executive director of
administrative services, said he was already impressed with what heβd seen of the district. Russell will oversee the departments of facilities, food service, transportation and information technology. He previously worked for the Macon, MO, school district.

βWhat Iβm seeing throughout the district is the people are really helpful and committed to making sure Northwest is the best district it
can be,β Russell said.
Jeff Taggart is the new Northwest activities director, responsible for coordination of all athletics and activities inΒ grades 6-12. He joins Northwest from the California, MO, school district.
βItβs a very welcoming place,β Taggart said of Northwest, adding that he was suitably impressed with the districtβs athletic programs.Β βHopefully, I can keep the ship sailing in the right direction."
