Rockwood Students Put a Lid on it to Raise Money for Kids With Cancer
More than $9,000 was raised by students who paid $1 to wear their hats in school.
Schools throughout the Rockwood School District showed their support for children undergoing cancer treatments by participating in Hats on Days held this spring. With the donation of one dollar, students and staff collected more than $9,500 for Friends of Kids with Cancer, a St. Louis nonprofit organization that provides educational, recreational and emotional support for children and their families while they are undergoing cancer treatments.
