Jewelry is Missing After Ousted Houseguest Leaves

A houseguest who had been asked to leave a home on Jo De Drive, Fenton. is being sought by the sheriff's department concerning a theft of jewelry sometime between May 8 and May 12. The jewelry is valued at $10,850.

Missing are a 10 karat gold 1977 "Athens Hornets" class ring, with a 1/2 carat ruby; a diamond and gold engagement ring with a 1/2 ct. stone and six 1/4 ct. stones, a diamond wedding ring, a ring guard with an engagement ring with 20 1/8 ct. diamonds, six Oneida stainless steel soup spoons with a "Michelangelo" pattern and a men's wedding band with eight 1/2 ct. diamonds.

The homeowner told a sheriff's deputy that she had a woman staying at her house while she was away. When the homeowner returned, she accused the houseguest of breaking a house rule and asked her to leave. After the houseguest left, the homeowner discovered the jewelry was missing. She told a deputy the houseguest had a heroin addiction and didn't know where she had moved to.

The sheriff's department has yet to locate the houseguest or the stolen jewelry.

 

Rock Creek Valley Drive, High Ridge

Makita construction tools kept in blue cases were stolen May 10 from a work truck on Rock Creek Valley Drive, High Ridge. The truck owner said he left the tools on the passenger seat the night before and had locked the vehicle. In the morning he noticed the passenger side  window had been forced open and the tools missing. Shattered glass was scattered inside the truck.

Quiet Forest Drive, Fenton

A dark blue 1997 Honda Accord four-door was stolen May 13 from a residence on Quiet Forest Dr., Fenton. The vehicle's owner said the car was locked but the driver's side window may have been rolled down slightly.
