Trailer Home Burglarized Over Seven-Month Period

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Ocean Drive, Fenton

Sometime since March, a thief, or thieves, stole a variety of household furnishings and other miscellaneous items from a trailer home on Ocean Drive, Fenton. The victim said entry was made through a rear window.The front doorknob of the trailer had been removed. The missing items include an off-white refrigerator ($150 value), a black Windsor rocking chair with gold painted fruit ($300), a black child's rocking chair ($100), a mahogany side table with an octagon top ($50), several Avon bottles ($50), a black clock shaped like a camera ($30), a battery operated weed trimmer ($90), approximately 50 Star Trek paperback books ($50), an antique rolltop trunk ($500), a rotary lawn mower($130), and various garden tools ($35).

A home on Hunning Road in High Ridge was broken into and ransacked on Oct.23. The victim reported that a screen had been removed from a rear bay window. The only items reported missing were a pair of gold earrings, valued at $50, from the victim's bedroom. The home's alarm system panel and sirens had been pried from the wall.The victim contacted her alarm company and was told the back door has been opened at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Deputies were able to secure fingerprints from the home.
