Zoe and Addison’s story
“Both of our daughters were treated like family. We were spoken to with respect, empathy, and reassurance that they would be given the best care possible.”
-Sarah, mother of Zoe, age 13, Addison, age 12 and Camille, age 6
Zoe fell out of a tree on Superbowl Sunday. She broke her arm and required surgery. One year later, her sister Addison was riding her bike, lost control and fell over the handle bars and broke her arm in the exact same place, also requiring surgery.
Throughout their experiences at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon, the family was impressed by the compassionate care they received. The SLUCare physicians and orthopedic staff walked the family through everything, making them feel at ease. Sarah the girl's mother, was especially happy with the nursing staff, calling them HEROS.
Today, both girls have healed and are back to climbing trees and riding bikes.
