SSM Health has been ranked as one of Forbes’ Best Employers for Women in the annual survey just released by Forbes and Statista.

This comes on the heels of similar honors from a Forbes survey earlier this year that found SSM Health to be one of the top organizations for diversity as well.
According to the announcement of the results in Becker’s Healthcare, SSM Health ranked 89th overall and 18th among health care organizations.

Forbes and Statista surveyed 50,000 employees to “identify the companies liked most by female workers.” Companies must have more than 1,000 employees to be eligible, and female representation among senior executives and on the board of directors are taken into account as well.
SSM Health was founded by religious women who emigrated to the U.S. in 1872. It’s led today by President and CEO Laura Kaiser.
