SSM St. Clare Named to National List for Great Women's Health

, 1015 Bowles Ave., Fenton, has been named to Becker Hospital Review’s list of “100 Hospitals with Great Women’s Health Programs,” which recognizes some of the most outstanding hospitals for women’s health programs in the United States., according to a news release from the hospital.

SSM St. Clare was one of only three hospitals in Missouri to receive the recognition. The 100 hospitals were selected to the list for offering outstanding programs within women’s health, including gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive medicine and other gender-specific conditions and health needs.

The Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team specifically chose SSM St. Clare for the following reasons: its top 15 rating for women’s health by CareChex (a medical quality rating service that provides a composite evaluation of all components of medical quality including process and outcomes of care and patient experience) in 2012, the state-of-the-art private maternity suites for all expectant mothers and the more than 1,400 births in the Family Birthplace in 2011, the advanced testing procedures available associated with obstetrical care and the comprehensive services for women through the breast center.

“This recognition confirms that we effectively transitioned St. Clare Health Center’s already successful family-centered care delivery model into a full complement of comprehensive services for women and infants,” said Mary Brobst, vice president of nursing.
