Two From Lindbergh Will Return to Rose Parade on Jan. 1
The students are part of the Bands of America Honor Band and will participate in the Rose Parade for the second time during their high school years. Plus, a gallery of photos looking back on Lindbergh's participation on 1-1-11.
Lindbergh High School seniors Andrew Bushway and Rachel Pavelka have earned an opportunity opportunity to return to the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on Jan. 1, 2013.
Both students were selected by Music for All to be members of the Bands of America Honor Band. They were selected from among hundreds of applicants across the nation for membership in the prestigious national honor band. They originally marched together in the Rose Parade in 2011, when the Lindbergh Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band traveled to California for its second appearance as a collective group.

Percussionist Andrew recently participated in a workshop to prepare for the march, which ended with a performance at the Bands of America Grand National Championships. On Dec. 27, both Andrew and Rachel, who is a member of the color guard, will join a 325-piece national ensemble in Southern California to perform with winds, percussion, flag and dance sections.
The students will rehearse at the Tournament of Roses Bandfest and Disneyland, before marching in the 124th annual βOh, the Places Youβll Go!β Rose Parade.
