The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store at 625 Gravois is in need of volunteers to help organize donated items and assist customers. To register as a volunteer, click here or contact Laura at (314) 881-6038.
By volunteering, you can help your neighbors in need. The Society’s thrift stores are different than other area thrift stores in that local volunteers provide store vouchers to their neighbors in need so they can obtain goods at no charge. Each of the Society’s stores provides a low-cost option for a wide variety of donated clothing, furniture and household items. Stores are also open to the general public, and everyone can find bargains and treasures to reuse and upcycle.
All proceeds stay in the community and support the Society’s person-to-person services for St. Louisans living in poverty, including utility and transportation assistance, prescription medications, food and more. Moreover, the stores operate with significant volunteer labor, allowing additional savings to be passed on to those in need.
