Woodstock, Toot Toot, Sir Oak, Janis Seeking New Homes

Dogs and cats available for adoption from the Open Door Animal Sanctuary.

Toot Toot is a super sweet 3-year-old Basset Hound that is looking for a new start in life. She was kept in an elevated wire kennel 24/7 before coming to the shelter. Here, she is finally getting some exercise. Toot Toot loves to be in the yards with other dogs and she doesn't want to chase cats, so she gets along with everyone. Toot Toot would get along with children as she just absolutely loves attention. If you are looking for a larger lap dog, Toot Toot's your girl.

Woodstock was found roaming with another dog. Since he came from Open Door as a puppy 8 years ago, we wanted him back. Woodstock gets along with dogs, cats, and kids so he would be the perfect addition to any family. He has had some basic training, he can "sit" and "come" when asked and he may be housebroken. Woodstock is very affectionate and loves to be petted and hugged. If you are interested in giving an older guy a second chance, please come by and see Woodstock.

Sir Oak was chased 25-30 feet up a tree and had no idea how to get down. After climbing the tree to rescue him, we can't imagine why anyone would throw him away. He is a very sweet 4-year-old boy with a great temperament. He has had no problems with any other cat. In fact, he has been seen curled up with one of our girls on a big blanket. He enjoys being held and having his belly rubbed. If you need a great cat to be a part of your family, come see Sir Oak.

Janis and her kittens were being given away at a garage sale. Open Door went and picked them up so that they were sure to get good homes. Her babies found homes right away and, as usual, no one wanted the mommy. Janis is a very active 3-year-old calico that loves to play. She is very affectionate after she calms down from playing. If your house needs a little fun and love, please come by to meet Janis
