The Ferguson-Florissant School District’s 97-acre nature preserve, Little Creek Nature Area, will host an Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public.
Little Creek Nature Area is located at 2295 Dunn Road in Florissant.
Attendees will be able to help plant trees, walk the nature preserve’s ADA-accessible trails, take an Audubon Society bird-watching walk, visit with and feed the farm’s animals and participate in educational activities at Little Creek’s pond with their children. Little Creek experts will also present environmentally-friendly tips and techniques for around the home including composting, using rain barrels and gardening.
