Libbie Custer: Valiant Woman Behind the Legend

The St. Louis County Library Florissant Valley Branch presents a little known story about Elizabeth Bacon Custer. 

Elizabeth Bacon Custer has been hailed as General George Custer's most ardent defender. 

Father Vincent Heier, who's a retired St. Louis priest, will discuss "Libbie Custer." He's also authored Little Bighorn and the article They Died with Their Boots On.
